A lot of people are really quick to throw that I am a Christian language out there, but do your actions speak louder than your words in a negative way. A story on TV recently revealed that one organization cut ties with people that became former members and even family members no longer had relationships with them when this happened. Sons stopped speaking to their mothers, Dads stopped speaking to their daughters. I have heard this and many other stories similar to this before but this time it caught my attention. This happens more often than we may think. Our Creator made us different for a good reason. But so many in our world use our differences as an excuse not to get along. If you do not believe what I believe we will have nothing to do with you. If you do not look like us we will treat you different. If you have a different language than us we will not try to understand you. Recently I heard someone say we had a good service this Sunday. I asked them what was good about it? I am still waiting for an answer. If you leave a service the same way you went into a service, then how good was the service. If you continue to look at color and race, if you continue to look at people with different opinions as lesser human beings, if you continue to walk by someone that needs your help, if you continue to talk the Christian talk but not walk the Christian walk then what good is your service. If you have this mindset, if you have this belief system, then you may be one of those “Don’t get it people”. Are we always going to agree, of course not? Are we always going to see things the same way, no? But we do not have to treat each other like animals and go out of our way to hurt each other. Do not let your religion get in the way of serving our Creator. Do not let a negative human relationship get in the way of a positive relationship with Jesus Christ.
There will always be people in the world that just don’t get it. Please do not let those be you. We all are going to have bad days; sometime we are going to get up on the wrong side of the bed. This does not give us the right to treat others in a negative way. Our Creator did not make a mistake when he created you. You are special. The problem is most of us do not know it. Religion should be what brings us together, but it seems that many have used religion as a tool to rip us apart.
